Romney: Would 'certainly not' put dog on car roof again

Mitt Romney admitted in an interview Monday that, if he had to do it all over again, he would not have put his dog on the roof of his car because of the attention the story has received on the campaign trail.

Asked if he would repeat the incident, he told ABC News: "Certainly not with the attention it's received."

Critics have used the Romneys' 1983 road trip, where dog Seamus rode in a carrier lashed to the top of the family car, to paint the former Massachusetts governor as insensitive.
