Sanders knocks Bachmann’s $2 gas pledge, citing GOP ties to Wall Street

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) says GOP White House hopeful Michele Bachmann couldn’t make good on her pledge to bring gasoline prices under $2 per gallon if elected because Republicans are too close to Wall Street.

Sanders, asked about Bachmann’s pledge on MSNBC Tuesday, said “quite the contrary” because “virtually all of the Republicans are doing their best to deregulate our efforts to control Wall Street.”
