Watch: Gilmore working to unify GOP

Jim Gilmore, who dropped out of the Republican presidential race in February, is now working to influence the 2016 elections.

"My best role at this point is to gather in the Republican Party and to get it moving in right direction," the former Virginia governor told The Hill.

While Gilmore hasn't officially endorsed Donald Trump, he tells The Hill that the GOP must unite behind its nominee to keep Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton out of the White House.
