Trump comment on Kim Kardashian's weight gain re-emerges

Donald Trump remarked that a pregnant Kim Kardashian had “gotten a little large” in an interview that’s re-emerging amid increasing scrutiny of the Republican presidential nominee’s past comments about women.

“I’ve known her over the years, and she’s really a nice person,” Trump says of Kardashian in the interview from HLN’s now-defunct entertainment show “Showbiz Tonight.”

“She’s gotten a little bit large,” Trump said, referring to the reality TV star, who was pregnant at the time with her first child with husband Kanye West.

“I don’t think you should dress like you weigh 120 pounds,” he added.

When host A.J. Hammer countered that Kardashian “feels good about herself,” Trump seemingly changed his tune.

“Well, I think that’s great. If she feels good about herself, A.J., do it, Kim,” Trump replied.

The three-year-old clip came to light again this week after Democratic White House hopeful Hillary Clinton mentioned Alicia Machado during Monday night’s presidential debate. The former Miss Universe has claimed that Trump once called her “Miss Piggy.”

Kardashian, who last year attended a Clinton fundraiser, reportedly said in a recent magazine interview that she was “on the fence” regarding the November election after speaking with her stepfather, outspoken GOP supporter Caitlyn Jenner.

"I found that without a doubt, I stand with Hillary,” the “Keeping up with the Kardashians” star said on her website last week, however, after researching the candidates.
