No new regulations on Tuesday due to shutdown


But Tuesday morning’s edition will be nearly blank. There will be no new regulations, just a small number of public notices about permit applications that have been filed, upcoming public meetings and other administrative notifications.

In recent days, the number of rules has shrunk to just a handful as federal officials have been forced to stay away from work.

In agencies throughout the government, hundreds of thousands of workers have been furloughed. Workers that have been declared essential to protecting public health and property have been allowed to stay on the job.
