John Bolton: North Korea nuclear weapons program top US national security threat
Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton said Friday that North Korea's quickly expanding nuclear weapons program is the top national security threat to the United States.
"I think [the national security threat is] escalating every day the North continues with its nuclear weapons program," Bolton told The Hill at the Conservative Political Action Conference held just outside Washington, D.C.
Bolton spoke at CPAC on Friday, during which he shared his growing concerns over North Korea's nuclear weapons program.
"Once they get the capability to hit targets in the United States with nuclear weapons, it is entirely possible the next thing North Korea does is say withdraw all American troops from South Korea or we will use these weapons," he said.
