The top challenge for retired Gen. John Kelly, President-elect Donald Trump’s choice to lead the Department of Homeland Security, is fighting "radical Islamist terrorism," according to former Sen. Joe Lieberman.


"The number one challenge of the Department of Homeland Security remains to protect our homeland and the American people at home from terrorism — radical Islamist terrorism," the former Connecticut Democrat-turned-independent senator said in an interview with The Hill's Molly K. Hooper.
